2 Years After Basal Joint Arthritis Surgery - UPDATE

2 Years After Basal Joint Arthritis Surgery - Update.jpg

Viewers have asked me for an update on how my hand is doing after two years following basal joint arthritis surgery.

I have good movement and fairly good grip strength. I don’t have much pain at all. I haven’t started playing golf again, but besides my hand I have my lower spine and my feet to consider when it comes to golf.

I’m back to doing all of my upper body weight training and pushups. It took me a while following surgery to get back to 100% (and then I messed that up by having foot surgery).

I have some issues from time to time with pinching motion – anything that is a fine motor skill can show weakness. I keep a pair of pliers handy, especially as a YouTuber with my camera mounted on a tripod – the pliers come in handy.

If I had to do this surgery over again I would. I am pleased with the results.
